Jersey Girls Dairy, New Jersey
Jersey Girls Dairy, New Jersey
Chester, Vermont

Jersey Girls Dairy was established in 1999 by Lisa Kaiman, a native of Princeton, New Jersey by way of the University of Vermont. Lisa currently milks 24 registered Jerseys, raises some of the calves for veal and some heifers to keep the herd in balance. Lisa's Jersey Girls live an excellent life featuring intensive rotational grazing and open space barn life. Her products are animal welfare approved.

Kaiman's veal was featured at the James Beard House, June 2012 with Vermont Chef Jason Tostrup of the Inn at Weathersfield. She began selling the veal to supplement the revenue of her dairy farm. She said, "These boys are considered waste on most dairy farms. At my farm, we raise them humanely and sell them as veal to restaurants and individuals. Every bit of the animal is available--from nose to tail.
