Looking for a fun trip out of the city, come and celebrate National Dairy Month with the Catskills Family Creameries, who will host the 4th annual Travel the Milky Way on Sunday, June 19! It’s a self-guided tour, and activities on each farm begin at noon and end at 5pm. Soft-sided coolers will be provided for on-farm purchases while supplies last.
Catskills Family Creameries is a group of farmstead dairy producers exploring collaborative marketing, distribution and educational activities. Through innovative collaboration, marketing and educational activities such as the Milky Way Tour, they are creating a new model for local consumers to support small dairy farms. Come out on June 19 to meet the animals that produce the milk, and learn how butter, yogurt, cheese, kefir and milk are made! |
